Red Cross to Hold Drawings for $100 Gas Cards
OAKLAND,- During the month of July, all presenting blood donors with the American Red Cross Northern California Region can enter a drawing for a $100 gas card. (Gas cards are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash).
The Red Cross will hold four weekly drawings, and there will be four winners.
The need for blood for those who are sick and injured is constant, and just one donation may help save the lives of up to three people.
Individuals who are at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission), meet height and weight requirements (at least 110 pounds based on height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. Call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule an appointment.
About the Red Cross:
The Northern California Blood Services Region operates blood donor centers in Oakland, Pleasant Hill, Pleasanton, Fremont/Newark and San Jose. Mobile blood drives are held in locations throughout the Bay Area.
